Drowning threat warning system
A virtual lifeguard is a device based on artificial intelligence. The device is designed for swimming pools and is installed on one of the walls of the pool bowl. It is equipped with a camera located inside and takes pictures of what is happening underwater. If the camera of the device recorded a person, or if several people are already swimming in the pool, then the system is able to determine with the help of computer vision which of them needs help. The device does this based on the readings of sensors that record the characteristic chaotic movements of a drowning person, as well as from the depth of immersion and its static or active state. When such a situation occurs, the user receives a notification along with a live broadcast from the cameras, as well as additional audio signals are provided through wireless acoustic modules that are installed both in the pool and in the home / work room. The device is also capable of detecting people who, while underwater, remain motionless for 5-10 seconds. In this case, a louder alarm is activated, calling for an immediate response.
